What are the days and hours service is available?
Day Program days of service are Monday through Friday. Pick up times vary depending of the factors of travel time to the job site, job start/stop times, and when possible, individual preference; however, they are typically between the hours of 7:00am to 3:00pm with a minimum of six hours of service each day. STEP Vocational Day Programs are closed for National Holidays.
How are people transported to program?
All Consumers are picked up from the their homes by their Vocational Coaches, with the exception of Extra STEP – Medically Fragile individuals that are non-ambulatory. In those cases, additional generic resources for transportation are utilized; such as, Regional Transit, Paratransit, and personal lift vans.
How do I make a referral?

As part of the required formal assessment we will request the following in a “Referral Packet”; Current IPP, CDER, IEP if applicable, and pertinent medical and psychological evaluations.

Average wait time from referral to first day of program is 4 to 6 weeks; however, for people we support in the Extra STEP Behaviorally Challenged and Medically Fragile areas it may take longer.
