We all know Coronavirus is deadly, so this is literally to save lives. Not just your life, but the lives of your family members, our Employers, our co-workers and even people we may never meet. Because it spreads when people have no symptoms. To keep us all safe, there are several things we must all do to slow the spread of the virus and protect each other. Remember, you don't know if you are carrying the virus, it's usually in your system for days before there are any symptoms. So we must all assume that everyone is carrying it and act accordingly.
The Most Important Things
These small things mage a HUGE difference!
- Wash Your Hands, Wash Them Again: The best soap to use is regular soap. it breaks down the cells of the virus, killing it. Second best is alcohol-based cleaners. Wash your entire hands, front and back, thumbs, everything. Do this many times every day.
- Spread Out: Otherwise known as Social Distancing, stay at least six feet away from others, unless work requires you to get closer. This keeps the virus from moving from one person to another. Pretend everyone around you has a force field.
- Clean Everything That Gets Touched A Lot: Door handles, light switches, phones, appliances, buttons, everything your hands touch the most use antiseptic or alcohol-based wipes, like Clorox or Lysol wipes, or a general purpose disinfecting cleaner. Do this often.
- Sneeze or Cough Into Your Sleeve, Not Your Hand: If you forget, wash your hands immediately.
- Hands Off the Face: Avoid touching your face. The virus gets into your system through liquids, like in your mouth or eyes. Keep your hands away. If you have to rub your eyes, for example, wash your hands first.
