Live-In Personal Support Attendant

In the position of Live-In Personal Support Attendant, support is provided in the consumer's home and in the community in exchange for paid rent or compensation. The Live-In Personal Attendant is required to provide services to the consumer usually 5 days a week, during the sleeping hours and occasionally morning hours to assist the consumer in daily preparations. In the position of Overnight Attendant, support is provided in the consumer's home during the evening and early morning hours. The typical shift is 10:00pm-6:00am. Both positions are responsible for light housekeeping, household management, shopping, recreational activities, transporting, and emergency intervention as needed.


Must successfully pass background check and pre-employment drug screening test, high-school or GED preferred, experience with Developmental Disabilities preferred, medications administration preferred, ability to read and write English in order to perform essential duties, may need to have sign language/ASL skills, basic math skills, possess ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, ability to push, pull mobility devices, ability to kneel, crouch, squat, crawl, twist upper body, and run, and ability to provide intervention during crisis situations.
